This short course introduces the CAIR3 framework for thinking about how to responsibly design, develop, and deploy AI in business, and features an example use case involving generative AI. Learn to anticipate social and environmental consequences, pre-empt unacceptable risks, and capitalise on unexpected opportunities.

This course is for anyone designing, developing, or deploying AI, and is geared to those working in business. No previous coursework or technical experience is required.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the course, a learner will:
- Understand the importance of responsible AI in business and be able to identify the values at stake
- Be able to apply the CAIR3 framework to her own business’ use of AI:
- Recognize key challenges raised by AI
- Foresee potential consequences
- Plan a response to preempt risks and reap possible rewards
- Know when and how to work with diverse shareholders in applying the framework
