5 Designing 3 High Impact 2026 Strategies

Module 5 – Designing Three High-Impact Strategies

Why this module matters

Data and comparisons aren’t enough—decision-makers want to know what to do next. This lesson shows you how to turn your SWOT insights and five benchmarks into three clear, evidence-backed initiatives that are both bold and believable.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this module you will be able to…

  1. Generate a pool of strategy ideas that draw directly on your SWOT strengths, opportunities, weaknesses, and threats.

  2. Score each idea using the F-I-D filter (Feasibility, Impact, Differentiation).

  3. Prioritise initiatives with a transparent, numeric ranking.

  4. Stress-test top ideas by identifying obstacles and mitigations.

  5. Format the final three strategies for immediate slide import—complete with KPIs and benchmark proof.

1 Ideate inside ChatGPT

Prompt the model:
“Create eight initiatives for the Isle of Man 2026 season that
• leverage the top SWOT Strengths & Opportunities,
• mitigate the top Weaknesses & Threats, and
• borrow tactics proven by our five benchmarks (cite sources).
For each initiative list a one-sentence summary, benchmark proof, projected KPI lift %, rough cost band (£).”

2 Apply the F-I-D filter

Add a follow-up prompt:
“Rate each initiative 1-5 for Feasibility, Impact, Differentiation, then calculate a TotalScore = F × I × D (max 125). Display everything in a table.”

3 Cull or improve weak ideas

Any initiative with Feasibility ≤ 2 is unlikely to fly. Ask:
“For each initiative scoring Feasibility ≤ 2, suggest a lower-cost variant or mark ‘drop’.”
Remove or upgrade as needed.

4 Run a devil’s-advocate test

Prompt:
“For the top three TotalScore ideas, list one potential obstacle and one mitigation.”
If an idea can’t survive this check, replace it with the next highest-scoring option.

5 Slide-ready formatting

Request:
“Rewrite the selected three initiatives in the format:
Strategy — KPI target — benchmark proof (citation)
Separate each with a dash (—).”
This aligns with the dash-delimiter rule you’ll paste into Gamma.

Recap

  1. Ideate eight initiatives inside ChatGPT.

  2. Score them with Feasibility × Impact × Differentiation.

  3. Cull or refine low-feasibility ideas.

  4. Stress-test the top three with obstacles & mitigations.

  5. Format the winners for instant slide import.
